For the past years black and chrome materials and minimalism have been in fashion when it comes to home decor. It can work great for some, but I think the majority welcome the new (old!) fashion. The home is our den. Human being is a collector, and since we travel more we collect from our travels both in our own country or abroad. And the best of all, now it`s in fashion to mix styles! Mix products from Asia or Africa with western products and you have the perfect match!

2. Wallpaper is back! Mix large patterns and plain wallpaper. The wallpaper motives are also back. Use plain wallpaper on two of the walls and wallpaper motif on the third. Gives a great effect to the room.

3. Porcelain figurines, do you remember them?! Ask your mother or grandmother if they have some to spare or visit a second hand store.

4. Get rid of stuff you don`t use. Hand it in to the Salvation Army and you have done charity at the same time!

5. The ethnical materials and patterns are here in full strength! Mix and match different cushions, don`t be afraid to use strong colors or to mix the colors. You can use one of each different color and pattern in your sofa, or if you place two single colored cushions and add another color to spice it up.
