Eating Right and Exercise

Author: Lana Polyakova

Are you concerned about the way you look? Are you worried about the extra pounds around your waist? If you are conscious of your body, then probably not everything is right with it. Clothes and mannerisms may enhance your personality, but it is the body beautiful that has the last say!

Although, we all remain figure conscious and spend major part of our waking hours comparing ourselves to others, we simply don't get around doing something about our expanding waistlines and bloating tummies. As a result, we get sucked into a losing battle of the bulge. Preoccupation with the job or busy schedule is generally the often quoted excuse. However, the reason is our sheer lack of will to undertake anything that looks like a diet or exercise! What we actually need is a push to get back into shape. And Lana has the expertise to make it happen by eating right and exercise.

Eating Right Without Being on a Diet

According to Lana, who has spent almost two decades in beauty and fashion industry, having a proportionate and a well endowed body is all about eating right. However, not everyone views food as building blocks for growth and repair, or as fuel for the body. Many people consider food a comforter, a way to reduce stress, to be eaten whenever they feel bored or stressed. For dieters, it acts as reward or punishment, or as an enemy. And for a few, food is nothing but a status symbol. Although, it is no sin to take pleasure in food in a social atmosphere, it is important to shed your unhealthy attitude towards it. Remember, food should never become a substitute for feelings other than hunger.

Lana maintains 'you are what you eat', if you eat foods that are unhealthy, that's exactly how you will feel! To acquire a healthy body, you must give it all the nutrients it needs for growth and development. But, overindulging in your favorite foods is not the answer. For example, foods that contain a lot of sugar and simple carbohydrates may elevate your energy level and make you feel more energetic temporarily, but within a short time you will begin to feel tired and depressed. It is the total amount and kinds of foods you eat over a period of time that make up a healthy or unhealthy diet. So, take Lana's advice and add a diet rich in complex carbohydrates and proteins, along with fruits and vegetables.

Exercise Regimen

Lana, the beauty and fashion guru, has created some great figures all around the world by her personally designed exercise programs. They are person-specific, simple and effective. When you enroll in Llana's fitness program she will first assess your aerobic and muscular fitness, flexibility and body composition. This may include certain physical tests, based on which she will design a fitness program. She will set your fitness goals for losing weight or enhancing curves or muscles, or simply for honing your already chiseled body!

Lana's fitness program is, however, not akin to a health club; she builds this regimen into your daily routine. And included in this, are other activities too, such as, walking, swimming and strength training. By designing a fitness program as per your requirement and dovetailing it into your daily life, she not only improves your overall health, but also enhances your quality of life.

Fitness Tips
Svetlana lays down the following fitness guidelines:

Don't skip meals, as it is known to cause low blood sugar, which can make you feel weak and lightheaded.

Eat a meal after your workout containing both proteins and carbohydrates to help your muscles recover and replenish their glycogen stores.

So, if you are thinking of burning those unwanted calories, Lana has the right program for you. Whether you simply want to get back into shape or want to hone your body to perfection, there is a specific fitness program for each.
